A couple of days ago, we had exclusively revealed that Nani’s upcoming film Tuck Jagadish has been postponed from 23rd April to a later date.
Incidentally, Nani has officially confirmed the same as he released a small video in which he clarifies Tuck Jagadish has been postponed due to an unforeseen development.
It is known that the government of Andhra Pradesh imposed a restriction on ticket pricing just on the day of Vakeel Saab’s release. This led to a catastrophic situation as the ticket prices in rural areas were capped at Rs 20. The restriction applies to rural areas as well but with varied and appropriate price caps.
Distributors and exhibitors have come to a conclusion that screening films with such astonishingly low ticket prices will incur severe losses and they can’t even recover theatre maintenance charges with the same.
That could well be the main reason why Tuck Jagadish has been postponed, apart from fact that the Covid cases have been on a rise all across the country.
Babu confirms that the trailer which supposed to release today on the occasion of Ugadi has also been postponed. “The new release date will be out whenever the trailer is unveiled,” he says in the video.
