Weather forecast is predicting more rainfall in the coming days for Andhra Pradesh region. This may further worsen the situation of Vijayawada. As per the latest report, Krishna river is flooding and the current flow of water is around 6.5 Cusec near Prakasam Barrage. Ramalingeshwar Nagar in Vijayawada is the first area to be hit by the Krishna river water.
Due to the leaks in the wall which was built to protect Ramalingeshwar Nagar from Krishna river, the flow into the region was raising heavily. Officials estimated that the flow of Krishna river will raise to 8 Cusec by tomorrow. Around 2000 families were relocated and government officials are working on relocating more families considering the forecast.
Flood victims mentioned that it is the third time they are experiencing this situation and the government previously promised good houses and better facility to avoid this sort of situation. They further requested YS Jagan to come to the region and see their situation.
