A few hours earlier, a fire broke out at a studio in Mumbai’s Goregaon. While eight fire tenders reached the spot to extinguish the fire, the latest update we get is the blaze was on the sets of Prabhas starrer Adipurush.
Earlier today, 2nd February, the mega-announcement from much-awaited Adipurush has arrived that the film has gone on floors. However, tragedy struck the Adipurush team that fire appears to have broken out on the set of the first day itself.
However, the raging fire was controlled ASAP, but not before significant damage to the film’s richly constructed set. Thankfully, Prabhas and Saif were not a part of this shoot. But this is a huge setback for producers Prasad Sutar and T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar.
A source close to the movie team revealed that the incident happened due to short circuit and the entire chroma set up went into ashes. No casualties have been reported and Om Raut and his entire team are safe.
Adipurush will be shot in Hindi and Telugu and will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada accordingly. The film is slated to release on 11th August 2022.
