In a tit-for-tat move, a contract employee working in the electricity department disconnected power supply for two police stations after the cops seized and fined his minor son’s bike.
This strange incident took place at the Jeedimetla police station in Hyderabad. Going into details, Jeedimetla Traffic SI Ramesh had conducted a vehicle inspection in Shapur Nagar on Tuesday evening as part of duty management.
A minor boy was caught driving while the police Traffic SI was inspecting vehicles. The boy was the son of a contract employee working in the electricity department. The boy requested the police to excuse him, but the cops did not listen and seized the bike.
Irked after cops seized the vehicle, the boy’s father disconnected power supply for more than two hours, without concerning the higher officials. The Police station was in the darkness for two hours. With no power at the police station for two hours, senior cops took up the matter with electricity department officials.
Jeedimetla CI Balaraju spoke to DE Raju and took steps to restore power. As per the reports, departmental action would be taken against the contract employee. The incident, which took place between two government departments, has been the subject of discussion locally.
