Narendra Modi’s foreign tours helped the Indian officials to learn more about the best practices on various topics in abroad locations. Several schemes have been implemented by the Indian Government in the recent times and one innovative scheme is the Fastag, which helps in paying the toll fees without waiting in the lines at the toll gates.
Initially, this scheme was thought to be a helping one for the people who use the highways. But this scheme is helping Police in tracking all the vehicles using highways. In few places, Fastag system is said to have helped Police in identifying smuggling vehicles.
Adding to this, the history of the vehicle too will be recorded from time to time which will help in knowing about the insurance, bills, etc. There is a talk in the media that government will make Fastag compulsory for all the vehicles. Eventually, government will have a track of all the vehicles which will help the automobile and the insurance industries.
