It is that farmers across the country are deeply concerned over the new agricultural laws introduced by the Center.

Following the success of the Bharat Bandh held yesterday, the Center held talks with the farmers proposing some amendments to the laws. Making 5 key amendments, they proposed to the farmers for their approval. If the amendments are acceptable, the concerns sought to be withdrawn

It was in this context that the leaders of the farmers’ unions announced that they would intensify the protests. Farmers’ unions have called for protests on December 14 in district centers across the country.
