When Lakshya starring Hrithik Roshan was released it got mixed reviews. But what Lakshya has earned was worth more than the profits and awards. It earned the due respect and set a benchmark of films made on the armed forces. As the film clocks 16 years, Farhan Akhtar shares it on twitter to mark its glory.
Not much known fact was that Farhan was the director of the film. Yesterday 20 soldiers martyred near Line of Actual Control (LAC) Galwan valley in Ladakh at the Indo-China border. The battle was the biggest military confrontation after 1967’s Nathu La clash. Farhan Akhtar mourned their death and paid a tribute to the Indian Army for their sacrifice and also penned an emotional note about the film which coincidentally was released during this time 16 years ago.
In the post, the actor shared that the film was beyond experience for him and the people who created it. Farhan shared the banner of the film that features the leads including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, and Hrithik Roshan. The banner includes that “it took him 24 years and 18000 feet to find himself”, by emphasising lead actor’s struggle and realisation. While writing the post, the entertainer shared the well known melody from the film “Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe” to evoke the patriotism in everyone. He further offered his respect and appreciation to the Indian Army for their dedication and their sacrifice.
