Amitabh Bachchan’s fans in Kolkata have been performing continuous “mahamritunjay yagna”, for his well-being and speedy recovery subsequent to testing positive for the covid-19 on July 11. The septuagenarian actor and his family members were admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai after the test results were found positive for covid-19 on Saturday evening.
Reportedly, the fans were upset at the news who worship Big B dedicatedly as a god and asserted, they would continue uninterruptedly till the Bollywood superstar and his family recuperate from COVID-19. The prayers and mantra chants, which have been going on since Sunday morning, were in prior organised at the temple dedicated to Bachchan in the Bondel Gate place, but had later transferred due to waterlogging, following relentless rains.
His fans prayed for his health by putting his photo alongside during the yagna in the Shyambazaar area at a Shiv temple. Meanwhile on the other side of the city in Behala’s Chowrasta area, members of ‘All celebrity friends club’ performed Pooja rituals too.
Recently, Nanavati hospital officials announced Big B’s health update on twitter, which read:
