96 has been wrapped finally, that too recently. The film went to the sets before demonetization goes the joke. Samantha being a very busy star, she could allot dates only once in a while, and whenever it was available Sharwanand would be brought in.
Samantha is clearly the hero of the film. The film 96 is about reunion of school students wherein the hero Sharwanand has a childhood fondness for a girl and he never musters courage to express his feelings to her. They meet years later and everyone has aged a bit. The hero isn’t married.
Before the reunion winds up the lady gets to know that he was indeed in love with her but couldn’t talk. Recently too, a similar subject came up about the fear of rejection and the title was Raja Varu Rani Garu.
So, this film 96 had Trisha and Vijay Sethupati who nailed it and made the characters look so believable. The film made on a tiny budget was an unexpected hit.
96 is a slow film and requires patience to appreciate its content, does the Telugu audience have it in them to wait.?
