TB Special: Everything is ‘Politics’ in AP – Dr. Sudhakar case secrets!

It is known that Narsipatnam Doctor Sudhakar was suspended by the Andhra Pradesh government for his criticism on the AP govt on the unavailability of the PPE kits in the state when there was the first trace of the COVID-19 in AP. Later he bashed the government for their grave act but was unheard for certain reasons.

Yesterday, all of a sudden he has become a hot topic in the state and was seen being drunk and half-naked on the Vizag roads. After some time, Police arrested him like he was some hard core criminal and was taken into custody after beating him severely on road.

First of all, it is true that the locals complained to the police after seeing Sudhakar who was roaming on roads being drunk after parking his car on the road. Later Police entered the scene and their presence only made the things complicated.

In many videos, it is clearly visible that Dr. Sudhakar was not treated well by the police and he was dragged into the jeep-like he is some notorious criminal and a serial killer. Though he created a nuisance, that was not what he deserved being a doctor and his mental condition after his suspension is very much understandable.

On the other side, the media which is favorable to the government are projecting Dr. Sudhakar as a drunkard and an insane person who is troubling the public. The opposition is inducing ‘Dalit Angle’ and is criticizing the government for their recent activities towards a Dalit doctor who questioned the efficiency of the government in the COVID-19 control.

Some media say that he is mentally unstable and he was encouraged by the opposition to criticize the government and the other biased media show that the police beat him to shut his mouth and this is nothing but an atrocity towards a lower-caste person. Everyone is looking to make this thing a political issue rather than helping a desperate doctor who lost his job in his belief of ‘freedom of speech’.
