There is not even a single statement from any of the YSRCP leaders, including the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, about the construction of Amaravati city.
As most of the initial works of Amaravati were done by the ex-CM Chandrababu Naidu, the new government is considering that if there is any progress in the works of capital city, the credit will go to Naidu and is so unwilling to move on with the works.
Adding to it, earlier Naidu signed an agreement with the Indigo company for the viability gap funding to run flights between Vijayawada and Singapore. Now Jagan as a CM, refused to renew the agreement and so the flights stood cancelled.

As the flights to Singapore have been cancelled, there are speculations that the AP government may also cancel the agreements entered by the previous government, with the Singapore Consortium for developing a Start-up city in Amaravati.
Intending to develop a strong bonding between Singapore and Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu as a CM earlier, offered to give 1691 acres to the Singapore companies, expecting that they could develop and create jobs to the AP youth.
But it seems, Jagan is not in a mood to encourage any such developments in Amaravati. While a few opine that he may completely stop the construction of capital city, a few others say that he would soon come up with the new designs, which would obviously be in contrast with Naidu’s ideas and thus make a mark of Jagan, by erasing Naidu’s completely.
