Hyderabad is a dynamic and diverse city with people belonging to different religions and beliefs. People celebrate every festival irrespective of the religion which makes the city more unique. Eid is one among the best celebrated festivals in the region and the area of Charminar will be glowing with colors during this time. All the mosques in the city will be filled with religious people offering prayers.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 confined people to their homes. After 112 years, Muslims in Hyderabad were offering their prayers at home. 112 years back, the flooding of the Musi river made people celebrate Eid at their home instead of mass gatherings.
Several families work all round the year for Eid and the Haleem made in Hyderabad gets shipped to various locations all over the world. Around 50000 families depend on Haleem business alone and this time Covid-19 restricted the business and the exports.
Covid-19 is one of the most unexpected incidents in the world and hence if we put aside the worries, lets enjoy the Eid with the family members at our homes. To all the Muslim brothers and sisters, wish you all ‘Eid Mubarak’.
