Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao stated that the female kids should be taught on how to protect themselves while the male kids should be educated on moral values and ethics. Disha’s murder case raised several debate points in the media on how one should raise their kids.
Several celebrities expressed their view on this topic and Harish Rao mentioned that parents should concentrate on teaching moral values to kids right from young age. Several people suggested the government to introduce a compulsory moral values educational course to kids along with Maths, Social and Sciences.
Disha’s murder case is not the first of its kind and each time celebrities and people react aggressively on the topic but what preventive measures are we taking to avoid this sort of scenarios in future? Strengthening the Police force helps to some extent but if the kids grow up with good moral and ethical values, this sort of incidents may get reduced eventually. Harish Rao’s statements focuses the fact that Telangana government may take the inspiring initial step of starting moral values education as a compulsory subject to the kids.
