It seems, the encounter of culprits involved in Disha’s rape and murder has brought a significant change in the Indian law. While Telangana police alleged that they performed encounter only in unavoidable circumstances, NHRC and Telangana High Court blamed the state government and police considering that they intentionally encountered the culprits by taking the law into their hands.
Anticipating that Telangana police’s move would further worsen the position of law in the country, it seems the concerned officials have increased the pace of the run for the justice in rape cases.
Nirbhaya case that shook the nation has finally found its destination now. All the culprits involved in the brutal gang rape are set to be hanged on the 16th of this month. The judgment is identified to be a huge relief to Nirbhaya’s family and also acted as a hope to other families of rape victims.

On the other side, Sugali Preethi, a 15-year-old girl was raped and murdered in 2017. But the case has been diverted as allegedly some political biggies are involved in it. But the netizens are haunting the culprits by trending the case with the hashtag #JusticeForSugaliPreethi.
As Jagan recently announced that he is going to act strict and bring stronger laws for the crimes against women, it should be seen whether he would come down to offer justice to Preethi’s family, who have been fighting for it for the past two years.
Whatever the case, it can be clearly said that the Telangana’s recent encounter has brought drastic changes in the law. Hope the culprits who commit women harassment find no way of escaping from the law and the justice be served with no delay.
