Dirty Hari Review – Only Dirty, nothing else.

Movie Name Dirty Hari
Star Cast Shravan Reddy, Ruhani Sharma, Simrat Kaur
Director MS Raju
Producer Guduru Sateesh Babu, Guduru Sai Puneeth
Music Mark K. Robin
Run Time 1hr 57mins
Release Date 18th December, 2020

Noted director MS Raju wielded the megaphone for Dirty Hari after a lengthy layoff and this film was promoted as a bold thriller with sensuous scenes featuring the lead pair. The film was released through an ATT platform and here is what we felt after watching it.

Story:

Hari(Sravan Reddy) comes to Hyderabad, aspiring to become rich and lead a posh lifestyle. Incidentally, he meets a rich girl Vasudha(Ruhani Sharma) and the couple fall in love and get married in quick succession. Soon after, Hari falls for Jasmine (Simrat) who happens to be the girlfriend of Vasudha’s brother. Hari and Jasmine share an illegal affair and the rest of the story deals with the consequent complications they face due to their relationship.

What about on-screen performances?

Debutante Sravan Reddy looks settled and he delivered a fine performance in a role which has multiple shades. Ruhani Sharma emotes well as a typical conventional girl. Newcomer Simrat Kaur is a surprise act. She sets the temperatures soaring with her bold screen presence and her sizzling glamour show will connect well with a section of audience. Mahesh as the male lead’s front is decent.

What about off-screen talents?

The director MS Raju makes his intentions clear right from word go. He incorporates bold scenes, double meaning dialogues, and sizzling skin show from the female lead to atract the younger section of audience. But his story lacks any novelty and it is tough for common audience to connect with it. The film is an attempt to narrate a murder drama with good dose of bold scenes but the narration falls flat. Barring the bold sequences and dialogues, no aspect of the film evokes interest. It feels like the 1 hour 57 minutes long film will never come to an end. The climax is slightly better. The lead cast deliver good performances but the story and screenplay are of substandard quality.

Balreddy’s cinematography is impressive and so was Mark S Robin’s background score. Editing could have been better.

What’s Hot?

Hot scenes which can attract the youth
Simrat Glamour show and dialogues
Visuals

What’s Not?

Poor and unimpressive story
Slow-paced screenplay
Terrible character designing
No suspense whatsoever
Zero emotional connect

Verdict:

Justifying the title, the film is filled with dirty scenes, but lacks any novelty. Poor designing of male lead character results in zero emotional connect which is a big no-no for any film. All Dirty Hari has is a few dirty scenes and nothing else.

Watch or Not: Dirty Hari has few dirty scenes and double meaning dialogues. The decision is yours.
