In the last two days, there were reports that star director Shankar has landed in legal trouble. A metropolitan magistrate court in Chennai has issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
Writer Arur Tamilnadan has claimed that ‘ROBO‘ story was written by him, and filed a case against Shankar in the Egmore court in Chennai. Now, Egmore Criminal Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the director, after he failed to appear before the court for more than 10 years in a story theft case.
Now, the director has responded to these non-bailable warrant reports and released a press note addressing the issue. Shankar in his press note said that he was shocked to see the false news being circulated without any verification.
“My advocate, Mr Sai Kumaran has approached the Hon’ble court today and brought this to the court’s attention. The Learned Judge was pleased to immediately confirm that no warrant has been issued against me,” the press note read.
Shankar also requested the media to publish the clarification to ensure the false news does not spread any further.
