Hyderabad: The Central government has fixed a maximum cap price for the Coronavirus inoculation in the private emergency clinics all over India. Nevertheless, few medical clinics in Hyderabad are flouting the norms and been charging double the sum from citizens for a vaccine jab.
On getting objections and complaints from general public, Director of public health Dr. G Srinivas Rao has revoked the vaccine licenses of three private medical clinics situated in Hyderabad.
The private medical clinics have been approved to charge Rs. 250 for every portion of immunization. Notwithstanding, there are reports that these medical clinics were charging twice the sum endorsed.
As of now, people above over 45 years of age are being administered the Covid immunization with all the government hospitals, district hospitals, sub divisional clinics, and the public health emergency clinics coordinated to infuse the Covid antibody liberated from cost.
In the state, 354 government medical centres and 218 private clinics are approved sites for the immunization drive with many people opting to take the vaccine in the government hospitals.
