Tollywood Active Producer’s Guild is on a strike, saying they are on the mission of finding a solution for the ongoing theatrical slump in the Telugu states.
Dil Raju, who is spearheading this strike is apparently demanding star heroes and directors to slash their remunerations at any cost in order to cut down on production and capital costs.
But in response, heroes and directors are arguing that they are the reason why audience are coming to theaters and it is unruly to ask them to cut down their remunerations.
A few producers like Ashwini Dutt and Bandla Ganesh are openly opposing Dil Raju’s stance and they are continuing with their film shootings.
It is fair to say that the strike called by Producer’s Guild is not drawing a unanimous response.
