The satellite and digital rights of Venkatesh’s Narappa and Drushyam 2 are said to have fetched big bucks. Suresh Babu, who produced both these films is a happy many now.
Apparently, Amazon Prime shelled out Rs 40 crores for the digital rights of Narappa alone. The satellite rights are yet to be sold. Suresh Babu looks set to make big profits from this project.
As for Drushyam 2, Disney+ Hotstar paid Rs 36 crores for the digital and satellite rights of the film. The film will be streamed on Star TV channels post its direct to digital release.
The makers of Viraata Parvam are in final round of talks with Netflix now as they wish to sell the direct to digital rights of the film. The digital rights of the film are valued at Rs 50 crores but Netflix is yet to make a deal of this value.
Suresh Babu is making in upwards of Rs 100 crores by selling off the digital rights of his forthcoming projects and he couldn’t have been happier.
