Declared dead, 75-year-old Covid patient returns home in AP

In a surprising incident, a 75-year-old woman, who was declared dead by hospitals authorities due to Coronavirus, has returned home and shocked everyone. This bizarre incident was reported from Christianpet village of Jaggaiyapet mandal in Andhra’s Krishna district.

As per reports, the 75-year-old Mutyala Girijamma from the Christianpet locality had tested positive for the pandemic and was admitted to the government hospital in Vijaywada.

A couple of days later, when her husband, Gaddayya, went to check on her condition, she was not found on her bed. When searching for her in the entire hospital and couldn’t locate her, the hospital staff told Gaddayya to try for his wife in the mortuary.

When Gaddayya went there, he saw a body that matched his wife and notified the staff who issued the body to him. The family took the body home and cremated it.

Tragically, Girijamma’s son, who was also tested positive for Covid, was succumbed to Covid on May 23. With this, Gaddayya organised the final rites for Girijamma and his son together on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Girijamma, who recovered from Covid, returned home by herself on Wednesday.
