Ahead of Telangana Legislative Council elections, the election commision (EC) has stated that the people suspected of having COVID-19, elderly over 80 years of age and differently-abled persons across the state will be granted special voting rights.

It is learnt that out of the remaining 823 voters, 821 people casted their vote, while two others used postal ballots. These voters were facilitated their franchise between 4 p.m to 5 p.m as per the norms. Counting will happen on October 12.
