The most hyped topic after films is now IPL in this year. After all the sectors ground to halt owing to the pandemic situation, many have embraced the new normal.
Memes and jokes were surfacing the internet surrounding IPL sponsors focusing on their cut throat competition as to who would sponsor this season and few trolls on RCB were also doing the rounds.
As every team is gearing up for this 2020 season, Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings already reached Dubai on 21st August and are yet to undergo training from Friday. The mandatory six-day quarantine period had been allocated for the team before starting the training.
Numerous reports were speculated that 15 Chennai Super Kings’ team members and few support staff have tested positive for covid-19. But CSK clarified that no support staff member has tested positive, while just a member of social media team, and two net bowlers did.
Hearsay is that the team members could have contracted the infection while undergoing training in Chennai before their departure to the UAE. BCCI suggested 3 covid tests before practice.
However, all support staff and contingent had to undergo their fourth covid test today subsequent to the unfortunate incident and the result of the tests will be known by Saturday.
The much awaited IPL tournament is all set to kick start form September 19.
