There had been rising deaths in the country in spite of constant initiatives from government to control covid-19. In this regard, requesting the Center to give all conceivable assistance, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today that the state may confront lack of oxygen supply because of rising COVID-19 cases and urged to look into the matter as early as a possible.

This solicitation was made after PM Modi, who assembled for a video conference on Wednesday, along with ministers of seven states, including Uddhav Thackeray, to asses COVID-19 situation.

In the high level meet, Modi lauded the work of the state government and said, Maharashtra people battle everything courageously. He insisted CM Uddhav to monitor 20 districts of the state, which are reporting high COVID-19 cases.
