The Chhattisgarh government passed new rules for the festival of Holi celebration. According to the new rules, utilization of any sort of sound enhancers will not be permitted. Holika Dahan service in the capital, in general involves four or more number of people and hence Holi festivities or any other programs are totally prohibited.
As the COVID-19 infections are rising, the Chhattisgarh government has enforced section 144 in the capital, Raipur on Thursday (March 25). Raipur collector made Dr.Bharati Dasan made the declaration after witnessing the COVID-19 situation in the capital.
Section 144 of criminal procedure code, authorises any state or territory to prohibit the assembly of four or more people in an area. According to the law, every member of such ‘unlawful assembly’ can be booked for engaging in rioting.
The state authorities have notified that any travellers entering the state to have home isolation for atleast a week as a safety measure.
Ocassional examinations will be directed in multiplexes, talkies, business centres, shopping centers and so on to uproot the infection. The public authority will be making stricter moves for the legitimate execution of the rules.
