As Covid-19 cases were increasing in Andhra Pradesh, the Government decided to identify the red zones to make sure the spread of Corona Virus will be in control. Around 144 red zones were identified and Andhra Pradesh Government will be imposing strict lock down in these areas.
30 red zones in Nellore, 22 in Kurnool, 16 in Krishna, 16 in Cuddapah, 12 in West Godavari, 12 in Guntur, 11 in Prakasam, 8 in East Godavari, 7 in Chittoor, 6 in Vishakapatnam and 3 in Anantapur. Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan is initiating surveys in the state to ensure good health and wellness of the people and to keep a track of the Covid-19 patients.
Most of the CMs have asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the lock down to make sure the nation stays safe. Identification of these red zones may help the Central Government to take a decision on the lock down extension. Stay tuned for more updates on Covid-19 efforts.
