Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made it clear that no lockdown will be imposed in the state of Telangana. He said the imposition of the lockdown would lead to loss of livelihood for the poor and it would lead to a financial crisis in the state.
The decision was taken by the CM KCR after examining the fact that despite the lockdown imposed in other states, the number of positive Covid cases did not decrease. He spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone about the supply of oxygen and Remdesivir injections to the state and asked for an immediate supply of vaccines. KCR pointed out that the state was not receiving the allotted oxygen from Sri Perambadur in Tamil Nadu to Bellary in Karnataka. CM urged the people not to panic over the situation.
