CID gets clearance for RRR’s interrogation from HC

The Andhra Pradesh CBCID police department was granted clearance by the AP High Court on Thursday for the interrogation of YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, in the case related to the campaign against the state government. RRR has very famously made many controversial comments against his own party, its members, and on the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy himself.

RRR sought to get the case filed by the CBCID to be quashed by the HC, but the HC dismissed the petition, allowing the CBCID to conduct their interrogation. However, the HC ordered the CBCID to conduct their investigation at RRR’s Hyderabad guest house.

Sedition cases were filed against RRR’s comments on the YSRCP government, but the Supreme Court withdrew these sections. RRR also intervened in Jagan’s CBI cases, demanding that the cases be resolved soon, which caused quite the stir in AP politics.
