It is known that Megastar Chiranjeevi had met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the problems related to the Telugu film industry. Ever since the meeting, it has been rumoured that the YSRCP had offered a Rajya Sabha seat to Chiranjeevi.
As the speculations about his association with the ruling party are going viral, Chiranjeevi has now put an end to them. Taking to his Twitter, the star actor revealed that he is completely out of politics and he has no intention of coming back. He said there is no truth in the ongoing campaign that he would get a Rajya Sabha ticket. He also mentioned that he met the CM only to discuss the problems of the industry, but some media outlets have sidelined the main issue and spread false news about him.
Chiranjeevi formed the Praja Rajyam Party before the 2009 elections. He bagged 18 MLA seats in the joint AP state. However, he later merged the Party with Indian National Congress and received the post of Union Minister in return. Before the 2014 elections, the Congress party split the joint AP state. Since then, he had stayed away from politics.
