The Telugu Desam Party is facing failure after failure no matter what it is trying to do. It met its recent failure when it failed to win even one seat in the recent municipal corporation elections, in the Nellore district. The Nellore district was one of the TDP’s strongest pillars, but the party wasn’t able to win even in that district now. The reason for this is being stated as the backstabbing of the members of the TDP.
While the TDP failed to put up any candidates in some of the wards, those who were put up in other wards withdrew at the last minute. In some other wards, the members of the TDP even failed to campaign at all. Senior leaders like Atchen Naidu, NImmakayala Chinna Rajappa, BC Janardhan and Nakka Anandababu, who camped in Nellore to supervise the party campaign were shocked at the back-stabbing by several leaders.
As a result, Chandrababu Naidu is said to have suspended three leaders for backstabbing the party. These leaders are now said to be spreading false news about Chandrababu, going around saying that they were made the scapegoats for the backstabbing of others, who were left scot-free.
