Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu on Sunday met Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar at his residence in Delhi.
Naidu is trying his best to go against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and for this, he is meeting all the regional parties across the country, who are against BJP. Naidu is keen to bring a non-BJP front ahead of the announcement of Lok Sabha elections results on May 23rd.
While he already met Congress party president Rahul Gandhi, BSP Chief Mayawati and also Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav recently, he now met Pawar and tried to convince him for the non-BJP front.
Speaking to the media, after the meeting, Pawar said that the duo ‘assessed’ the election scenario. Meanwhile, Naidu is also set to meet UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her residence today and discuss the key political issues.
Naidu earlier said that he will join hands with any party which is against BJP, including TRS in Telangana and thus move forward to create a non-BJP front at the Centre. But Telangana Chief Minister KCR is reluctant to share the alliance with TDP and is so remaining silent on his call.
