Central government gave approval to Gandhi hospital to conduct plasma therapy

The central government has approved to conduct plasma therapy at Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad. Plasma therapy was given a nod as part of the Covid-19 treatment for the first time. In Hyderabad. Gandhi doctors will collect plasma from those who recovered from the disease. Plasma therapy will be offered to those who are vulnerable to coronary artery disease.

Recently a corona Patient who received Plasma Therapy for the first time in the country was fully recovered. The first patient who was administered convalescent plasma therapy on compassionate grounds in Delhi has now completely recovered and was discharged on Sunday with a promising recovery.

Plasma therapy is currently underway due to a lack of medication for corona. In this procedure, plasma is collected from the patient’s blood recovered from the corona. Antibodies are seperated from it and transfused into the effected patients, which go into the blood and fight the corona virus. However blood group matching donors are required in plasma therapy.

So far 332 people have recovered while combating the corona pandemic and 25 have died. There are currently 646 active corona cases in the state.
