The Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued special directives on victory celebrations of election results. It has directed the CS of the five states to register an FIR in case of violation of ECI rules in the wake of corona calm. The counting of results of the Assembly elections in four states and one union territory continues. Supporters of the winning candidates in some parts of the state are celebrating victory with rallies and roadshows.
As the DMK and TMC parties continue to lead in the counting, party supporters are celebrating in Kolkata and Chennai. In this background, ECI ordered to see that the rules are properly enforced and to register an FIR against the violators. It also ordered the suspension of the relevant SHO. Taking to the Twitter platform, the Central Election Commission has directed the chief secretaries of the five states to take immediate action on each FIR.
