Veteran actor Ghattamaneni Krishna passed away on Tuesday in Hyderabad. He was 80. Celebrities across the country to Twitter to share their condolences.
Chiranjeevi shared a note in Telugu on Twitter. He wrote, “This is sad beyond words. It is unbelievable that the Superstar Krishna has left us. He is a person with a heart as big as Himalayas. A Breath of adventure, a synonym for bravery (a brave heart). Bravery, adventure, determination, humane, and goodness… he is a combination of all of this.”
Soon after the news broke, Rajinikanth took to Twitter to pay condolences to the legendary superstar. He wrote, “The demise of Krishna garu is a great loss to the Telugu film industry … working with him in 3 films are memories i will always cherish. My heartfelt condolences to his family …may his soul rest in peace @urstrulyMahesh (sic).”
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tweeted, “”Krishna garu is a Telugu superstar. He is Alluri… He is our James Bond. As a man of the heart in real life as well, who earned distinction for himself in the film industry, his death is a great loss for the Telugu film industry and Telugu people.”
TDP Leader N Chandrababu Naidu penned the text, “The death of actor and former MP Krishna Gari, who was called as a good man, producer’s hero, actor and superstar in the Telugu film industry, has shocked. Krishna garu is said to be an actor, director and an adventurer who introduced the first technology to Telugu cinema.”
Ravi Tej said the demise of Krishna is a devastating loss to the entire film industry. His tweet read:

Jr NTR also shared a note in Telugu. He also wrote that his thoughts are with Mahesh and his family.
Calling it an end of an era, Nani tweeted, “SUPER STAR KRISHNA. End of an era. My deepest condolences to @urstrulyMahesh sir, family and Krishna Gaaru’s extended family which includes you, me and every Telugu cinema fan.”
