The Union govt has made it clear to the Supreme court that Rs 4 lakh compensation cannot be given to the deceased families of the coronavirus. The affidavit submitted to the Supreme court stated that if they should be given compensation, then the complete funds of the disaster relief funds will be exhausted. The central govt has expressed its view that if the funds under the SDRF are allocated to the corona deceased families, then there will be no funds left to use for emergency medical services or during disasters such as cyclones or floods.
