After a long wait, team India finally have their hands on the Asia Cup trophy as the men in blue managed to comprehensively beat Sri Lanka in the final that was earlier today.
India were near invincible in the tournament this year, barring the shocker of a defeat to Bangladesh in the final game of the super 4s.
In the final, Sri Lanka couldn’t even remotely match the abilities of team India as they scored mere 50 runs in the first innings after opting to bat. This is one of the lowest first innings scores for any team in ODI history.
India then quickly chased down the target with Gill and Ishan Kishan coming out all guns blazing. India have lifted the trophy after a long wait and this should set the perfect tempo for the coming Cricket World Cup which is not too far from now.
