The much-awaited trailer for Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva was released on Wednesday morning. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the nearly 3-minute trailer opens with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s voice-over telling us how the five elements have had their powers stored in ‘astras’ since ancient times. This heavy-budget film is the story of the God of all Astras- the Brahmastra.
The trailer is packed with a lot of visually stunning moments, rich and impressive VFX shots, and a sign of the movie’s grand scale. It also features Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna as good guys while Mouni Roy is seen as the film’s villain. Alia Bhatt played the female lead and she, along with Ranbir, tries to save the world from evil.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra will release on September 9. The film is the first of a trilogy, which sets out to establish India’s own cinematic universe–the Astraverse. Apart from Hindi, the movie will release in four other languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
