Promising actor Vishwant Duddumpudi’s latest film, Boyfriend For Hire, has now been released in theatres, and here’s how the film has turned out to be.

Story:

Arjun is a man that can be hired as a boyfriend by any girl who is in need of someone. The need could be anything, ranging from wanting to spend some quality time with a boy, to solving her problems, Arjun is there to help. One day, Arjun’s character is mistaken by a woman, to whom Arjun reveals why he chose to become a boyfriend for hire (BFH). The rest of the story is why Arjun becomes a BFH, and if he will find true love.

On-Screen Performances:

Vishwant is charming is many scenes, and carries most of the film on his shoulders. While he delivers a decent performance, it is still not enough to save the film.

The leading lady of the film, Malavika Satheeshan, makes her debut with the film, and is okay. She gets a good role in the film, and is passable at best.

The lead cast is supported by actors like Sivannarayana, Harshavardhan, Raja Ravindra, Madhusudhan and Gayatri Bhargavi, who are just about okay in the roles.

Off-Screen Talents:

The director had a good concept to work with, but most of the sequences are not very entertaining. The execution has been done very poorly. There is little connection between consecutive scenes at many places, and the film lacks a proper emotional core.

The camera work is about okay, and the editing could have been so much better, with the movie dragging on by a lot. The production design is about average.

The music provided by Gopi Sundar is good, especially the background score, which elevates the movie and the scenes.

Plus Points:

  • Background score

Minus Points:

  • Weak story and screenplay
  • Poor performances

Verdict: Boyfriend For Hire drags on beyond requirement and can feel like a snooze fest. While the concept is interesting, the execution has been quite poor. It is impossible for the audience to connect to the film.
