Box Office: Agent starts as a disaster

Akhil Akkineni’s much-hyped project Agent has opened on a disastrous note at the box office with shockingly low collections all across the major segments.

The film has reportedly collected a mere Rs 7 crores gross on the opening day which is way too low for a mid-range star like Akhil.

Akhil’s hopes to enter the big league and score first real major box office blockbuster relied heavily on Agent and the film has bombed like anything now.

Agent will go down as one of the costliest failures in Telugu cinema with utterly poor investment-return ration. The film could only go South over the weekend with deficits being reported from early morning shows on the second day.

Perhaps it is time for Akhil to introspect and pay more attention to his script selection and choice of directors for his films henceforth.
