Kamareddy is an important constituency in Telangana, given that it is one of the two constituencies that Chief Minister KCR always contests from, the other one being Gajwel. KCR always manages to win in both these constituencies, but it seems like things are about to change this time around.
While KCR is leading in the Gajwel constituency, he was trailing behind the BJP in the Kamareddy constituency. BJP’s Katipalli Venkata Ramana Reddy took the lead in Kamareddy, with KCR coming in the second place, and Congress’s Revanth Reddy coming in the third place.
With the final votes having been announced, it has been declared that BJP’s Venkata Ramana Reddy has won the Kamareddy district, with KCR in second place, and Revanth Reddy in third place. This is surely a huge defeat for KCR, who has won the constituency two consecutive times previously. This is also a celebratory moment for the BJP, which seems to be rising in Telangana.
