BJP leader Ram Madhav, who recently attended as the Chief guest at TANA celebrations in the US, was insulted on the stage.
Along with TANA, there are several Telugu associations in the US. But it is widely believed that, every Telugu association backs a particular community and aims to target other Telugu communities. Especially, TANA association is believed to be backing Kamma community and obviously it would be in favor of TDP and its leaders.
In the recently conducted 22nd Convention, when BJP leader Ram Madhav was invited as the Chief guest and when he took the mike to give his speech, several anti slogans against the leader was witnessed from the audience, for which he had to remain red-faced. Aggrieved over this, he reportedly went against the organizers and strictly said he or any of the BJP leaders are going to attend the future events of TANA.
Ram Madhav had to attend the event, only after the repeated requests of CM Ramesh. While a few say it is unfortunate that the public is intentionally targeting a leader, a few others consider it as a right jolt, for the kind of negligence, BJP is showing on Andhra Pradesh.
While TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu’s war against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, before the elections has irritated the PM and BJP leaders, the latest incident at TANA, has worsened the situation even more. Most of the BJP leaders, along with those, who recently shifted from the Telugu Desam to Lotus Party, strictly went against TANA event and warned the TDP leaders.

Adding to it, TANA also faced several allegations of conducting several irregularities in most of its other activities. Alerted over this, other Telugu associations like North American Telugu Association (NATA), American Telugu Association (ATA) are planning to conduct the events, giving zero priority to politics, caste or any such discrimination.
So, it should be seen, whether the incidents of this sort would make TANA stop backing the caste and a political party or not.
