BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao raises Ramathirtham incident in Rajya Sabha

Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao addressed the Rajya Sabha on the issue of attacks on temples in Andhra Pradesh.

GVL said there had been attacks on nearly 140 temples from the past twenty months in Andhra Pradesh. GVL Narasimha Rao told the Rajya Sabha that although the state government had initiated recovery operations in connection with the attacks, no attempt had been made to nab the culprits so far.

GVL said that a series of attacks on Hindu temples was a matter of concern. He even raised the Ramathirtham temple incident that happened in Vijayanagaram district of Andhra Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha. He demanded that special action should be taken by the Union Home Ministry.
