BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao is known for coming up with sensational proposals quite frequently. In the recent past, he invited TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu to merge TDP with BJP and assured that he is going to mediate the entire thing.
He also tried to move Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan with the similar proposal. However, there are no moves from either of the leaders but his proposal has acquired significance among the political circles.
The dynamic Rajya Sabha MP has now come up with another fresh proposal. He suggested to rename Polavaram as Pradhana Manthri Polavaram project as the Centre is bearing the entire cost of it.
GVL spoke about Polavaram during the debate in Rajya Sabha about the national irrigation projects across the country. He stated that the YSRCP government’s attitude caused the delay in releasing funds for the construction of the project.

He further added that the Andhra Pradesh government did not show any proper accounts related to Polavaram even though the Centre has been providing funds. He revealed that Centre spent Rs. 6764 Crore on the project. So he asked the house to look into the issue as it allows the Union government to release more funds so that the project’s progress picks pace.
Will the GVL’s latest proposal remain to be unused just like his earlier ones or acquire any significance? Let’s see.
