PAN Indian star Prabhas is juggling multiple film projects. Last year, he appeared in two films and is currently busy with back-to-back shoots. He recently wrapped up shooting for “Kalki,” set to release on June 27, where he plays the character Bhairava. Post “Kalki,” Prabhas began working on “Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi, but due to his packed schedule, only a fraction of the film has been shot.
Prabhas, returning from a European vacation, promised Maruthi to dedicate more time in April and May. A song was filmed during a week-long schedule in April, and Prabhas aims to finish shooting in May.
Meanwhile, the success of Prabhas’ film “Salaar” last year has led to a sequel announcement by director Prashant Neel, titled “Shauryanga Parvam.” The script is ready, and with numerous action sequences planned, Prabhas needs to commit significant time to “Salaar-2.”
This commitment has sparked rumors that “Raja Saab” might face delays. Maruthi, known for his swift filmmaking, has struggled to complete even half of “Raja Saab” due to Prabhas’ commitments.
There’s speculation that Maruthi intended to release the film during Sankranti next year, but with “Salaar-2” aiming for a December release, “Raja Saab” might be postponed to the following summer. The industry is watching to see how these scheduling conflicts will resolve.
