The Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana has become a brute force all of a sudden ahead of the GHMC elections. Their win in Dubbaka provided them the rage needed and all of a sudden Congress was in a dilemma about their future. The same way this result has provided josh in the AP BJP who are in pursuit of victory in the Tirupati parliamentary by-poll.
In this order some comments are coming out from the BJP cadre that the YS Jagan could be easily defeated in the LS by-polls like the KCR was restricted in the mighty Dubbaka. Dubbaka BJP MLA Raghunandan made these sensational comments that Jagan is no greater than KCR and BJP can easily overcome Jagan’s hurdle in Tirupati. Really? Is it that easy?
Of course, everyone knows that the political environment in Telangana is different from the political climate in AP. From the beginning, the BJP has all the support in Telangana compared to the AP. Now, speaking of the Tirupati parliamentary by-election, YCP candidate Balli Durga Prasad Rao, who won the previous elections, got 7,17, 294 votes. The losing TDP candidate Panabaka Lakshmi got 4,90,605 votes. That means the YCP won with a majority of about 2.28 lakh votes. And you know who stands in third place? Nota (Nun of the Above).
Yes, even coming down the order, we can’t find the BJP next. NOTA got 25,750 votes. In the fourth position was the Congress and in the fifth was the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate with the support of the Janasena. The BJP candidate got 16 thousand votes in the election. This means that the BSP candidate will stand before the BJP and then the Congress candidate. Nota will be the next in line if they can successfully cross these barriers.
So, it is not an easy task as it seems for the BJP in Tirupati but they have a considerable advantage regarding the controversial decisions taken by Jagan, blows from High Court, not much development apart from freebies e.t.c. Yet, it takes more than sweat for them just to knock TDP out which has a strong cadre in Tirupati. So, what could be BJP’s course of action here?
