Birthday Special: Jr NTR’s inspiring journey

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr, popularly known as Jr NTR or Tarak, is celebrating his 39th birthday today and wishes have been pouring in for the RRR actor from his friends and fans on social media.

One of the finest gems of Telugu Cinema, NTR began his career as a child artiste in Brahmarshi Vishwamitra (1991). He played the first lead role in Ninnu Choodalani in 2001 and Student No. 1 directed by SS Rajamouli has made him a promising actor in Tollywood.

In his career spanning over two decades, the Nandamuri actor acted in over 29 films. Popularly known for his single take acting, dialogue delivery and flawless dance moves, Jr NTR made a name for himself and emerged as a one of the highest paid and respectable actors in Telugu film industry. Some of his top performances include: Aadi (2002), Simhadri (2003), Rakhi (2006), Yamadonga (2007), Adhurs (2010), Temper (2015), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Janatha Garage (2016), Jai Lava Kusa (2017), Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) and RRR (2022).

Needless to say, RRR, which hit the screens this year, has introduced the actor to the global audience, and he certainly impressed people of different parts of the world.

Jr NTR has also won several accolades, including two Filmfare Awards, two state Nandi Awards, and four CineMAA Awards. He is married to Lakshmi Pranathi in 2011 and the adorable couple has two children, Abhay Ram and Bhargav Ram.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jr NTR will next be joining hands with director Koratala Siva for his next, tentatively titled NTR30.
