The organisers of Telugu Bigg Boss planned to commence the 5th season of the show this June. But the onset of second wave of Covid has forced them to alter their plans.
The show runners opine that it wouldn’t be right to go ahead with the 5th season while the country is going through so much suffering and grief. Moreover, it is practically impossible to create a bio secure bubble for the contestants as Covid is spreading at an alarming rate. Any mishaps could lead to devastating results.
Consequently, Bigg Boss season 5 has been postponed indefinitely. It is likely to commence only in August or later.
The organiser will start finalizing the contestants only after the effect of Covid second wave is nullified.
