The much-anticipated film ‘Ramayanam,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, directed by Nitish Tiwari, is set to make a grand entrance on the big screen. Initially, there were reports that superstar Yash would be co-producing the movie along with Prime Focus. However, recent developments have surfaced, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the project.
Allu Mantena Media Ventures LLP has issued a public notice, asserting that Prime Focus Technologies Ltd has initiated talks to secure the intellectual property rights for ‘Project Ramayanam’ based on their script. Yet, the financial agreements remain unfulfilled. The firm has warned that any utilization of Prime Focus Technologies Limited’s ‘Project Ramayana’ content without proper compensation will be deemed a violation of copyright, with potential legal actions.
The notice further clarifies that Prime Focus Technologies Limited has not received the agreed payments for the assignment, thus retaining the exclusive rights to ‘Project Ramayana.’ Consequently, any production based on this script without their consent is considered infringement.
On the other hand, the film boasts an impressive cast, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash in the role of Ravana. Reports suggest that Yash’s involvement comes with a hefty remuneration of 150 crore rupees, and he has also expressed his financial commitment to the project as a significant investor.
