The BC community is a large one in the Telugu states, with a lot of people belonging to that community. Keeping that in mind, it is being said that Uttar Pradesh’s former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has come to the opinion that a separate party for the BC community is to be established in both the Telugu states.
On Thursday, R Krishnaiah, the National President of the welfare society, and BC Association leader Gujja Krishna, met with Akhilesh in Delhi. A memorandum for the introduction of a BC bill in the parliament is said to have been submitted, and a request to constitutionalise BC reservation in local elections is said to have been made with Union Minister Kapil Moreswar.
