Baba ka Dhaba owner attempts suicide, admitted to hospital

Most social media users are aware of Delhi’s Baba ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad, who shot to fame overnight with YouTube a video of his humble eatery in Malviya Nagar.

In a tragic incident, Kanta Prasad attempted suicide around 11.15 PM on Thursday and has been admitted to the Safdarjung hospital in Delhi.

According to Delhi Police, Prasad had consumed alcohol and sleeping pills fell unconscious. His son Karan said in a statement that his father had taken alcohol and sleeping pills.

Back in 2020, Kanta Prasad and his wife shot to fame after YouTuber Gaurav Wasan shot a video of the eatery and urged his followers to help the elderly couple who were striving to earn a livelihood. Several celebrities had also supported the couple back then.

Reports suggest that the new restaurant of Prasad shut down in February after heavy losses.
