It is known that Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati are coming together for the Telugu remake of Malayalam super hit, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The project started rolling this week and Pawan Kalyan is already shooting for the film.
As per the latest update from Sithara Entertainments, who are bankrolling the project, Rana joined the shoot today.
“The mighty Rana Daggubati joins the shoot today,” read the announcement from Sithara Entertainments.
Rana will be seen as a retired army officer, the role which was enacted by Prithviraj Sukumaran in the original. Pawan Kalyan will be playing an upright cop.
After a 10-days long schedule in Hyderabad, the unit will be leaving to Pollachi to shoot a major portion of the film.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake is set out in Nallamala forests backdrop. Subtle changes were made to the script to suit the sensibilities of native audience.
This as-yet-untitled project will be out in theatres in the latter half of the year. Sagar Chandra is directing the film. Sai Pallavi and Aishwarya Rajesh are said to be playing female leads.
